Futuribles International
Futuribles International, an independent, private non-profit organization, was formally launched in 1967. It grew out of the Comité International Futuribles created in 1960 by Bertrand de Jouvenel and the Centre d’études prospectives created in 1957 by Gaston Berger.

By taking an interdisciplinary approach, Futuribles International explores current issues, the world’s possible futures (futurs possibles), and policies and strategies to consider. It brings together both producers and users of prospective studies who would like to support these aims and the progress of the discipline.

 

Lookout System (Système Vigie)
To monitor and evaluate international advancements in the discipline, Futuribles International uses a lookout system to keep track of who is doing what, where, and how. With this resource, we can collect and analyse trends from around the world that will likely shape the future.
 
Foresight Forum (Forum prospectif)
The Foresight Forum is a meeting place (both virtual and actual) for experts and decision-makers. Through this platform, Futuribles International organizes lecture-debates, monthly round table discussions, study days, and international conferences.
 
Training Seminars (Formation)
Futuribles International organizes public training seminars on various methods of monitoring trends and forecasting future ones, like the “futures studies approach,” which can be applied to numerous fields.

Studies and Research
Every year Futuribles International assembles study groups to examine selected topics, usually related to pressing global issues. These groups bring together representatives from around a dozen organizations to discuss a clearly defined issue. The groups thus consist of people with practical experience who can meet under the guidance of experts from Futuribles International.
